Kidquake
As part of our annual Litquake Festival, Kidquake consists of two days of in-person and virtual talks and meet-and-greets with a diverse array of children’s book creators, paired with activities run by the Bay’s best interactive educators. Each student leaves with a new book, and teachers receive a bag of books and other goodies for their classrooms. Serving thousands of Bay Area K-5 public school students. 100% free!
Sign-up forms are distributed early each fall to San Francisco schools. Last year, 100% of teachers noted that Kidquake reinforces lessons from the classroom and prized Kidquake’s ability to inspire by affording students a connection to authors who look like them. Kidquake caters to San Francisco’s most diverse student bodies.
